Entry Fees must be paid in advance to Hobie Class KZN. No monies or cash will be accepted at registration. All payments must be emailed to info@hobiecatkzn.co.za

Entry fees are as follows:

Skipper and Crew Team R950.00

Skipper and Crew Team Late Entry Total Fee of R1150.00 (After the 1 September 2023)

REMINDER: 2023 Hobie Class Fees must be up to date, please contact your local Hobie Class Association

SCHEDULE

• • Registration: 22^nd September 2023, from 8:00 to 9:00.
  • Equipment inspection and event measurement: 22^nd September 2023, from 8:00 to 9:00.
  • Dates of racing: 22^nd September 2023 to 25^th September 2023.
  • The scheduled time of the warning signal for the 1^st Race will not be before 10:00am on the 22^nd of September 2023. The scheduled time of the warning signal for the remaining days will not be before 9:00am each day.
  • There will be a maximum of fourteen (14) races.
  • A minimum of four (4) races will be required to qualify for a national championship.
  • On the last scheduled day of racing no warning signal will be made after 14:00.

PRIZES

Prizes will be given as follows:

SA Sailing medals for the overall winner, second place and third place.

The SA H16 National Champion floating trophy will be awarded to the overall winner.

Prizes will be awarded, but not limited to, the following category winners:

First Youth – both skipper and crew under the age of 21 years old at 31/12/2023

First Women – both skipper and crew are women

First Great Grand Master – skipper is 65 years old or older at 31/12/2023

Winner of the Hobie 16 Long Haul Race. This will be weather dependent, and at the discretion of the organising committee, this will form part of the overall series.

Winner of the Longest Hull Flying Competition, inside Vetch’s (This does not form part of the overall series and is a separate fun competition at the discretion of the organising committee)
